The Art of Telling Your Own Story
Are you between the ages of 18 and 25? Are you curious about expressing yourself through art? Then "The Art of Telling Your Own Story” might be for you.
H2O is looking for participants for "The Art of Telling Your Own Story”—a free nine-month artistic residency led by author, playwright, and visual artist Tomas Lagermand Lundme together with H2O's Artistic Director Jeremy M. Thomas-Bøgsted.
Over the course of nine months, we will create an artistic community where we explore how personal experiences and stories can be transformed into literature, theatre, performance, sound, music, movement, and live storytelling.
Together, we will explore questions such as:
Who am I?
What do I want to tell?
How can my story become art?
What happens when my story meets an audience?
Through both individual and collaborative exercises, we will investigate themes such as identity, community, sexuality, loneliness, belonging, dreams, and the future. You do not need any previous experience in theatre, performance, or creative writing. What matters most is your curiosity and your willingness to seriously explore your own artistic voice.

Sessions will primarily take place on Wednesdays from 4:30–7:30 pm at H2O in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, from September through April, with breaks during school holidays. Throughout the residency, we will also attend theatre performances, films, and exhibitions together as part of the programme.
Who can apply?
We are looking for young people aged 18–25 who:
want to develop their creative practice
are curious about literature, performance, and theatre
are willing to share an artistic process with others
can commit to participating throughout most of the residency
You don't have to be a "finished" artist. Perhaps you've only just begun. Perhaps you've been writing for years without showing anyone your work. Or perhaps you're simply looking for a place where your voice is taken seriously.
About Tomas Lagermand Lundme
Tomas Lagermand Lundme is an author, playwright, screenwriter, and visual artist. For more than thirty years he has written novels, poetry collections, theatre plays, radio drama, and scripts for film and television. As a mentor and teacher, he is known for his dialogue-based, process-oriented approach, placing artistic courage, curiosity, and personal storytelling at the heart of the creative process.
